ABOUT BENE

BENE is a niche brand, focusing on bodysuits and created in Copenhagen and Paris by the two sisters in law Benedichte Ekstrand and Louise Scheel in 2021. BENE is fighting for values of openness, diversity, body shapes and courage.

 Benedichte, the one half of BENE, lives at the “lakes” in Copenhagen, where she enjoys art exhibitions with her boyfriend, Simon, and their son, Samuel.

Waldorf educated and self-taught in design since her teenage years, Benedichte worked in Copenhagen, Istanbul, and Paris as a designer and head of studio for Koché, Pucci, Nike, Lovechild1979, YDE Copenhagen and Day Birger et Mikkelsen.

Louise, the other half of BENE, lives in Østerbro together with her husband (who is Benedichte´s brother) Paulus and their sons Winston and Vitus. Loving everything Østerbro has to offer, they spend lots of time on the boy´s ice hockey at KSF, along with soccer at B93 and every Tuesday, Louise teaches kickboxing at Zen-to.

Experiences from how to navigate business processes and project management have taught her how to turn projects into reality and businesses. Besides that, Louise graduated with a Master degree in HR from CBS, minoring in Sustainability.

We believe in recognizing the feelings fashion generates. Therefore, we aim at giving our customers comfortable designs, that come with a sense of power.

We believe that everybody is unique and that should be expressed and celebrated. Creating products that highlight the beauty of all curves and make women feel empowered is the core of BENE´s approach to fashion.“Show the world the version of you that you see” - At BENE we want to help you do that.

All materials used are either leftovers from other high-end fashion brands, recycled or upcycled materials. All three sources of material are limited and therefore the BENE collections are exclusively limited editions.
